Easter weekend was a blast! Saturday afternoon we headed up to my sisters house to do our annual egg hunt with the kids and dinner. Elizabeth was a pro at finding the eggs. I had to slow her down cuz she was on a roll.
My mom had eggs specifically for Ben (because of his GFCF diet) and placed them in one area of the back yard so his wouldn't get mixed up with the other ones. We came out after I had the chance to pick up eggs and take pics of Elizabeth. (And of course, the horrible mom I am, and I didn't get any of Ben picking up eggs, ugh!!) I had to help Ben pick up most of his eggs, which was fine. I would point out the egg and he would pick it up and drop it in. He did get distracted at one point when he found out what was inside the eggs. It was pretty cute.
On Easter morning, I decided (or the Easter bunny decided) to hide their baskets, in the house. This was a favorite tradition of mine growing up and I thought I would try it out with my kids. They seemed to like it?? Who knows...but I figure I gotta start now. I know they will love the "Hunt" of the Easter baskets each year.
I DID!
They had lots of fun looking through their baskets and seeing what the Easter bunny brought them.
As you can tell...my photos are more of the "aw-natural". My kids don't pose very well for the camera. This is life as it happens.
And the kids all decked out in their Easter outfits, ready for church!
It was a wonderful Easter weekend, and I hope you all had a great one too!
