My baby girl is 9 months!

The day has come too quickly, now that my baby girl is 9 months. It seems like only a short time ago that I had her and we were bringing her home from the hospital. Elizabeth is my sweet little princess and to no surprise, very different from her big brother, Ben. She didn't have a 9 month check-up at the doctor's this month, I guess since they do not recieve shots during this month, our medical provider, Kaiser, doesn't see her again until her 1st birthday. And so I took it upon myself to weigh her at home. Coming in at 18lbs and 27 inches long, I thought that to be a little small, but have to remind myself that she's a girl and girls are supposed to be petite, and that my first born, was a monster of a baby :-D She loves interacting with her brother, when he braves it and comes near her. She loves to eat and is now taking a bottle and sippy cup. She loves to chew on books and play with anything and everything she can get her hands on. She's so very close to crawling, but hasn't quite figured it out yet and loves to give kisses, we just love those open mouth slobbery wet ones! She smiles at just about everyone we come in contact with, but is surprisingly shy if someone other than, mom, is holding her. She's gabbing away, saying words like, "mama" "dada" and we think she'll be teaching Ben how to talk soon enough! We girls can say it better anyway...right?! We thank the Lord each day for sending this sweet spirit to us and allowing us to be blessed by her. We love you Ellie girl!
