Every year as the kids get older, it gets better and better to see their little faces and open their gifts. Our morning was like any typical Christmas morning, with the exception of getting up before six, since my little ones are still little. I think I am a few years away still from them barreling out of there rooms at 3am! (I'll cross my fingers).
Ben was the first to wake up and so I fed him breakfast. He walked right past the tree and presents into the dining room and waited to be fed. He thrives on our normality of every day and our routine. So to keep him in good spirits, he ate breakfast first. Elizabeth woke up not too long after and we got right to presents. But for Elizabeth, like your typical child, went straight way to the presents...breakfast??? Ha! That could wait, obviously.

The kids got lots of goodies, that has kept them busy ever since. And that is still scattered around the living room. They both got new bikes (Ben's was actually given to me from a friend from church), but overall..it's new to him. Elizabeth is all girl, getting a new barbie and horse, baby Cinderella, dress-up clothes and makeup. While Ben got lots of Hot Wheels, safari animals, a musical keyboard and basketball hoop. And of course a whole lot more. Not to mention stockings...oh, which I love. I love stockings...it's like a sneak peak to the presents.
Later that day, we headed up to Hesperia to have dinner and presents with my family. The best part of the night was the grown ups dancing to 'Just Dance 2' on the Wii. We had a lot of fun and the kids got more gifts from Grandma and Grandpa...they love their Leap Pad Keyboards.
Koa and Ellie...the best of buds
Doug being...Doug =)
Love these girls...
We had a wonderful Christmas Day, filled with family and love.
I couldn't have asked for anything better.
