Dear Elizabeth,
I want to remember the days of you. When you'd say, "I love you, mama!", and hug me as tight as you could. I want to remember your squishy face when you were feeling sassy. I want to remember your sweet little laugh whenever I tickled your side and underarms. When you take care of your brother whenever he isn't feeling well and cover him with a blanket.
I want to remember quiet mornings of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Barbie Pink Shoes. I want to remember Minnie Mouse pancakes and whipped cream bows. Dancing in the kitchen and singing in the car. I want to remember your sweet sincere prayers at night for , "....the sun, the moon and the stars."
I want to remember your first day of school and when I first heard you sing your ABC's. I want to remember your sweet china doll face and your sweet soft kissable cheeks. The way you help mommy clean up the toys at night and help to make the beds.
I want to remember how you picked out your own clothes for school and ask if they match. Braids and ponytails, sticker books and art pages. Finger painting and bike riding. Saturday swimsuits and sand in your sandals.
I want to remember your silly laugh and the love you have for your family.
You are amazing, sweet girl. I can't wait to see the woman you will become one day.
"You make me happy." -Elizabeth Lorton
