Easter Shenanigans

This year at Easter time, I decided to take it upon myself to do a quick little party with some of our church and neighbor friends.  And since I am always so last minute, I was shocked to find that basically everyone I had invited, actually attended!  But then again goes the saying," the more the merrier"..right? Or chaotic? Either way--a good time for sure.

Decorating eggs...the less messy way.

The little bunnies.

Over Easter weekend, we spent some time and Grandma and Grandpa's for the annual egg hunt.  Ben did a great job collecting his eggs, although, like clockwork...he wanted to dig into each individual egg he found.  I had to keep him on track and looking for more.

I didn't get the chance to take any pics of Elizabeth looking for hers.  She and her cousin, Koa, were on a roll.  They seemed to find every last egg that Grandma had in the yard.  They were very proud to say the least.

And Easter morning the kids had fun finding their baskets.  Again, like tradition, I hid their baskets inside the house and they had to find them.  It is especially awesome, as their mother, to watch the excitement they have.  Every year, I am looking for new little ways to make holidays special and make it our own.   I am trying remember that it is the simple things that make it memorable.

Happy Easter from the Lorton Family!!
