For the first time, Ben's class made an official class trip to the LA Zoo. It was just the first and second graders who went, so it was great considering the amount of aides and parents were going, there was plenty of supervision. We rode on the school buses with the other classes that were attending and the kids did awesome!! And even considering the fact that the bus was having some issues and we had to switch buses on the way, this added an additional 30-40 minutes on our trip and the kids were amazing, no meltdowns or tantrums. Woohoo!
We all wore matching (well, sorta matching) tie-dye shirts that myself and a couple other moms made prior. It was nice knowing we could spot them if they ran off. But thankfully no one did.
The trip was short considering the kids had to be back to the school by the end of the school day, we were able to see almost all of the animals. What was great about this trip is that our entire family was able to go, Daddy and Lizzie met up with us at the zoo, while I rode with Ben down on the bus.
